The NYU Stern Center for Business and Human Rights and The Rockefeller Foundation are pleased to invite you to a conversation moderated by Professor Michael Posner, Director of the Center for Business and Human Rights, with special guest Dr. Rajiv J. Shah, President of The Rockefeller Foundation.
The conversation, “A Tipping Point on Human Progress” will explore how recent advancements in slashing extreme poverty, reducing hunger, and expanding peace are being chipped away due to a lack of concerted commitment by national governments and the opportunity the private sector has to play a role in creating economic and social value.
The conversation will be live streamed on Facebook. To participate in the event via stream, please click here.
Dr. Shah is the former Administrator for the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) under President Obama, and spent eight years with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation managing strategy and agricultural programs. He now serves as President of the Rockefeller Foundation, a 105-year-old private philanthropy dedicated to improving human well-being around the world. Today the foundation is focused on the fundamentals of human well-being – health, food, power, and jobs – to ensure every family experiences dignity and opportunity in our rapidly urbanizing world.
